What we changed, and why

Most Ramayana retellings carry content parents don't realize is there until bedtime. We rewrote every story with clear rules about what's in and what's out.

  • No violence at ages 3-7. No battles, weapons, or scary villains. Problems get solved with kindness.
  • Sita is brave, not a test subject. No agni pariksha. When older versions include it, we call it unjust.
  • Stories gated by age. A 4-year-old won't see “The Battle of Lanka.” A 10-year-old gets the harder questions.
  • Caste prejudice called out. Shabari's story confronts it head-on.
  • Every story written to a strict content standard. We read them all before you do.
  • Not watered down. Dharma, devotion, and hard questions are all here, just told right for the age.
